Large Volume Press (LVP) – custom designed using large flat diamond anvils for optical/spectroscopic investigation such as laser-heating and Raman spectroscopy, in-situ, at high pressures and temperatures. It is ideal to synthesize macroscopic quantities (~1 mg) of novel materials forex-situ characterization of mechanical properties and energy content of recovered samples, as well as forin-situ synchrotron x-ray and neutron diffraction of samples at high pressures.
