(509) 335-7040Education:
Washington State University, Department of Chemistry (2008-)
University of Colombo Sri Lanka, BS in Chemistry (2005)

Background and Research: I am a graduate student majoring physical chemistry and am currently studying the high-pressure influence on solid oxygen.

Gustav Borstad: Graduate Student in Physics
borstadg@wsu.edu
(509) 335-7040Education:
Washington State University, Department of Physics and Astronomy (2008 — present).
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, BS in Physics and Mathematics (2008).

Research: I am currently subjecting simple binary mixtures to high pressures and studying the resulting novel materials.

Ranga Dias: Graduate Student in Physics
ranganath@wsu.edu
(509) 335-7035Education:
WSU, Department of Physics and Astronomy (2006-Present)
University of Colombo, B.S. in Physics (2006)

Background and Research: I am currently studying the insulator-metal transition in organic metals, using electrical resistivity techniques. I’ll be focusing on high temperature techniques under high pressure conditions.

Dane Tomasino: Graduate Student in Chemistry
dane_tomasino@wsu.edu
(509) 335-7035Education:
WSU, Department of Chemistry (2009-Present)
Eastern Washington University, B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry (2009)

Background and Research: My research includes understanding the crystal and magnetic structures of novel one-dimensional pyrazine containing cobalt ferromagnets. Currently, I am a physical chemistry graduate student studying novel states of matter under high compression.  .
